Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 June 2026
This policy explains what personal data, if any, is collected when you visit inertial.uk and its sub-pages, and how that data is used. This site is operated by Scott — an independent software developer trading as Inertial, based in the United Kingdom.
1. Who we are
Inertial is an independent software practice based in the UK. You can contact us at hello@inertial.uk for any data-related enquiries.
2. What data this site collects
Google Fonts
This site loads typefaces from Google Fonts, a service operated by Google LLC. When your browser requests a font, Google's servers receive your IP address as part of the standard HTTP request. Inertial has no access to or control over this data. Google's privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy.
Google states that it does not use font-loading requests to track users or build profiles. Fonts are cached by your browser after the first visit.
Email addresses (notify list)
If you submit your email address using the early-access notification form on the Perspective page, that email address is sent to Formspree (Formspree Inc., USA) and forwarded to us. We use it solely to notify you when Perspective becomes available. We will not send unsolicited marketing, share your address with third parties, or use it for any other purpose. You may request deletion of your address at any time by emailing hello@inertial.uk.
Formspree's privacy policy applies to data in transit: formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
Cookies and local storage
This site does not set any tracking or analytics cookies. When you acknowledge the cookie notice, a single preference flag (cookie-notice-dismissed) is saved to your browser's local storage to suppress the banner on future visits. This contains no personal data and is not transmitted anywhere.
No third-party advertising, analytics, or retargeting scripts are loaded.
3. Legal basis for processing (UK GDPR)
If you submit your email to the notify list, the legal basis is your explicit consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR). You may withdraw consent and request deletion at any time.
The Google Fonts data transfer (IP address) occurs as part of normal browser operation to load this site. The legal basis is legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR) in providing a correctly rendered website.
4. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Request a copy of any personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of that data
- Withdraw consent for email notification at any time
- Lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk
To exercise any of these rights, contact hello@inertial.uk.
5. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, the updated date at the top of this page will reflect it. This site does not currently have a way to notify existing subscribers of policy changes, so please check here if you are concerned.
